The Retreat - The Golden Hour

Join me this autumn for an unforgettable journey of revival and self-discovery set against the backdrop of Puglia's stunning seaside. Embrace the enchanting golden light of autumn as we come together to nourish our bodies, minds, and spirits through the practice of yoga and incredible traditional food.

The reason this retreat is so special to me is that my wonderful grandmother, from my father's side, was born and raised in Puglia. She is one of the most important people and role model in my life, and the bond she shares with this land runs through my veins too. There is something so unique about this corner of Italy, where the sun, the sea and the food bring people together in the simplest of ways.

Why "The Golden Hour"? Are you familiar with that feeling you get just after sunrise or before sunset - it's usually a brief moment - when everything feels so aligned and at peace? It's one of the most special times in the day, which I would love for you to experience for a whole week. Where we allow ourselves to align with the rhythms of nature and reconnect with our true selves.

Are you ready to step into a magical experience? Keep reading...

The retreat venue uses minimal plastic, serves vegetarian and vegan food only, uses only local and  seasonal ingredients, and sources products made from natural and regenerative materials.

Food is at the heart of this retreat. Every dish will be carefully prepared by local women, who have inherited these recipes from their mothers and grandmothers.

We will learn from them how to make traditional meals. It's a wonderful mindful activity that will also allow us to bond as a group and share some memories.

Join us for a hands-on experience where you'll have the opportunity to unleash your creativity and connect with the earth through the timeless craft of pottery. Guided by skilled artisans, you'll learn the fundamentals of working with clay, from shaping and molding to glazing and firing. Your creation will serve as a reminder of the creativity and vitality that lies within you.

"This was my first retreat so I wasn't quite sure what to expect but I was open to being involved with anything. I had left all my work behind and I was looking forward to switching off and not thinking about anything. The whole experience had been very positive. I felt I wanted to take bits of the retreat into my daily life. Maybe learning a routine I could do everyday, maybe join more classes or maybe to eat more slowly! Physically I felt a lot more energy and stronger. Happy to have met some really nice people who I will always have good memories of sharing the time with. Really happy that I had been!"

Hi, I am Marta

Your retreat host

I have been a yoga student since 2009 and have started teaching yoga in London in 2019. My journey into the practice has been quite a complicated one. I initially didn't understand what yoga was all about, until I hit rock bottom in my self-worth and relationship with my body.

I then started practicing Iyengar Yoga which gave me the opportunity to reconnect with myself and find more peace in my life. From there, I explored many styles of yoga asana and meditations, and have specialised in Vinyasa, Hatha, Restorative and Meditation.

Since I started teaching, my aim has always been to offer inclusive and accessible practices for every body type and ability.

My retreats are a bit less traditional, in the sense that there are no restrictions (yes, you can have wine and use your phone to capture and share the beautiful moments we spend together!) and the whole purpose behind them is connection. To one self and with others.

This will be the fifth retreat I will be hosting and I cannot wait to welcome you!
